about this
thing of ours
Founded in 2025, This Thing of Ours (TTOO) is a transformative experience that blends art, imagination, and material-based design. Produced entirely in-house, it is led by three Sacramento-based brothers: Damian, Derek, and Donovon Lynch. The project is the result of over 20 years of creative expression, family bonds, and shared labor. After forging their own paths in art, design, music, and culture, the brothers have come together to build something that is both deeply personal and creatively expansive.
From the space to the story, every detail is conceived, crafted, and carried out by the brothers themselves. Through sculptural installations, spatial design, and a touch of imagination, This Thing of Ours invites attendees to dream, explore, and create — offering a uniquely collaborative and intentional experience.
The name This Thing of Ours is a nod to the phrase “Cosa Nostra,” meaning “our thing” or “our cause.” While the phrase has historic ties to secret societies, here it’s reclaimed to reflect something more honest: a shared creative mission between siblings. A pact. A passion project. A platform to build on, together.
Our hope is to grow This Thing of Ours into both an online and physical platform that uplifts the region’s most visionary artists, designers, and makers — putting Sacramento on the map as a creative and cultural hub while celebrating the power of doing it together.
